Your sign is one placement, not the whole chart
A sun sign describes a broad personality theme, but a full birth chart also includes a moon sign (emotional instincts), a rising sign (how you come across to others), and placements for every other planet at the moment you were born. A beginner book’s job is explaining what all of those actually mean together, not just re-explaining the 12 signs you probably already half-know.
Read your own chart, don’t just look up meanings
